Lower Town Arts & Music Festival – May 19-20
Paducah is known as a Creative City and you’ll definitely witness this in the Lower Town area. This festival boasts creative artisans displaying and selling their art and amazing food. After checking out all the vendors, settle in near the stage to enjoy a variety of bands and music styles. Check out the schedule!
2017 RIVERfront Concert Series
Enjoy the sounds of local and national upcoming artists! This sunset concert on the river is free on Wilson Stage from 6-8:30 p.m. Grab dinner to go from a downtown restaurant and then head to the riverfront for a picnic and a fun night of music. Mark these dates on your calendar!
Movies in the Park
If you’re searching for a fun, family night this is a great option! Make a picnic dinner, then go to the park early to let the kids play. Then, buy some popcorn and snacks before the free movie begins in the amphitheater around dusk. There are four movies played throughout the summer. Learn more here.
PA*BREW*CAH – June 17
This is the second beer fest Paducah has hosted. The festival is Saturday, June 17 from noon – 5 p.m. in downtown Paducah on the corner of 2nd and Broadway. Tickets are $25 in advance. At the event you’ll enjoy live music, a commemorative beer glass and have the opportunity to sample craft beer from 24 breweries. Find out more about this event and purchase tickets!
Moonlight Ride – July 29
This is such a fun event for families, couples and friends! Plus, as an added bonus, the money goes to fund a great local cause: the Paducah Cooperative Ministry. After dark, everyone lights up their bikes with glow sticks and bike lights/reflectors. Then, you’ll take off for a ten mile ride around Paducah. Don’t miss the pre-ride entertainment; it’s always a fun time! Find out more about this year’s event here.
One of the best things about this area is how easy it is to get away from the city lights and enjoy the outdoors. Land Between the Lakes and the Grand Rivers area are perfect for a day, weekend or week-long getaway. There are plenty of boating, camping, and hiking options. Total Solar Eclipse Events – August 21
Scientists say we are in one of the best areas to see the Solar Eclipse! Here are some events and best viewing locations around the area:
- Fenton Day Use Area at LBL
- Night at Noon — WKCTC in Paducah
- Sun Drop and Moon Pie Party on the lawn of the Carson Center
- The Great American Eclipse Viewing Party — in the Library Garden
